Governor Phil Murphy yesterday unveiled the official portrait of Kim Guadagno, the state’s first lieutenant governor and current president and chief executive officer of Mercy Center in a ceremony held at the Statehouse in Trenton.

Mercy Center, a nonprofit dedicated to ending generational poverty in the greater Asbury Park area, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sea Girt resident Laurence M. Downes as chairman of its board and to welcome two trustees and team of new officers.

In a moving gathering held in its garden sanctuary, Mercy Center brought together a network of community advocates, victim service providers, faith leaders, and law enforcement representatives on April 24 to celebrate the strength of collaboration in breaking cycles of sexual assault, child abuse, and violence.

Mercy Center, a nonprofit working to alleviate poverty in Asbury Park, is pleased to announce the appointment of former New Jersey Natural Gas executive Tom Hayes to oversee its future expansion efforts.

Grimes, a resident of Oceanport, joined the Mercy Center team Sept. 4 and brings extensive experience and a history of notable achievements in nonprofit fundraising and communications.
