Mercy Center receives grant from Investors Foundation
Mercy Center received a $10,000 grant from Investors Foundation to support Sisters Academy of New Jersey. The grant will help further the Academy’s mission of educating girls from economically challenged families and giving them the opportunity to attend private high schools and universities.
Penny McDaniel, Senior Vice President of Investors Bank, personally delivered the check to the school today and shared, “The middle school years can be particularly difficult for young women, especially those whose families may have limited financial means. The Investors Foundation is pleased to be able to assist Sisters Academy not only in providing an education of excellence, but a dedication and commitment to community involvement – something that will provide these young women with a greater sense of self and purpose.”
In accepting the grant, Carol Ann Henry, RSM, Executive Director of Mercy Center, stated that “it is because of our generous donors, such as Investors Foundation, that we can make sure that every girl from Sisters Academy attends high school. Watching these girls transform into successful young women is a validation that our model works.”
